How to know it's bed bugs

The usual signs: itchy bites in lines or clusters (often on skin exposed while sleeping), small blood spots on sheets, dark pepper-like stains along mattress seams, and in bigger infestations, a sweet musty smell. You might never see a live bug — they hide in seams, cracks and behind headboards, coming out at night.
